About the health check
How often should a garage door be serviced?
Once a year for a home, and more often for one used many times a day. An annual service keeps the springs, cables, rollers and opener adjusted, and catches wear before it breaks down.
Can I adjust the springs myself?
No. Garage door springs are under extreme tension and can cause serious injury. Spring and cable work should only be done by a qualified garage door technician.
What does a red result mean?
It means at least one check points to a fault that should be looked at straight away. Avoid using it and call Garage Door Assist on 0402 224 375.
Do you cover my area?
We service garage doors across Newcastle and Lake Macquarie, seven days a week from 7:00am to 7:00pm.
